Abstract

The contribution proposes some reflections on the Recommendation C/Rec (2014)5 of the Council of Europe, which addresses the issue of the transversality of language education in the various subjects of the school curriculum. The basic assumption is that the acquisition of knowledge and the educational success of learners depend largely on the mastery of the language of schooling in its various application domains.
