This paper reports on a didactic project that involved a class of first year students from a scientific upper secondary school in Bologna. The students worked on a class¬room blog, with the aim of developing their writing competence. More specifically, this paper focuses on the implications related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the didactics of writing, by bringing some examples of texts written by the students. The results of this activity were fully satisfactory, both from a didactic and a social perspective, and had a strong impact especially on students’ motivation.
