This paper analyzes selected passages of the DPCM (Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers) from the 3rd December 2020 and highlights its linguistic difficulty and communicative ineffectiveness. It then offers suggestions for its rewriting by employing the principles of clarity and communicative essentiality, from which useful teaching practices can be derived.
