Linguistic goals in Italian at the end of the triennium of upper-secondary school

Based on the last school reform in Italy, the present paper shows that school education should focus on the development of students’ linguistic competence in Italian. The paper makes proposals, gives examples and evidences some critical points such as the necessity to modernise grammar instruction and to dedicate more attention to aspects of textuality in all school cycles.Downloads
